This service is aimed at individuals as well as small to medium sized companies and charities running Windows based PC's or laptops. For all of these services we can come to your premises if you are based in or around the Bristol region to evaluate the issue and if possible we will fix the issue on-site, that same day.
Please contact us at [email protected] and supply as much information as possible with regards to your issue.
If your PC or Laptop has become infected but you cannot just wipe your computer and start again, contact us and we will endeavour to remove the virus, repair your PC and install appropriate protection for your level of use. We use the term "appropriate protection" because it is impossible to make any system completely secure without going to extreme lengths. We aim to provide a level of protection that is secure enough for your purposes cheap enough for your wallet!
Please note if you suspect that your PC or laptop has been infected with a virus you should disconnect it from your home and work network and do not transfer any files between the infected computer and a clean computer. Under no circumstances should you access or update any sensitive material from an infected computer, such as accessing customers personal information or on-line banking.
As time goes by computers running on a Windows operating system tend to run slower and slower. This can often be resolved by backing up any information that you want to keep and then wipeing your computer and reinstalling Windows and any software that you require.
Please ensure that you have backed up any data that you want to keep such as photos, documents, internet favourites. If you are unsure of how to back up your data then we can go through this with you. You will also require any installation files or discs that have been used to install software on your computer.
If you have deleted an important file there are steps that can be taken to recover the files short of sending the computer to a data recovery centre which can be extremely expensive. Why not contact us first to see if we can recover the files using less drastic measures.
If you have accidentally deleted a file that you require the first thing you should do is check your recycle bin. If it is not in there try not to use your computer. Deleted files are not actually deleted but the space they occupied is flagged as available. This means that the file should still be able to be recovered unless that space or part of it is reused by a different file.
